Why LUMA

Bangladesh is not short of dyeing capacity. It is short of suppliers who do not cost you a shipment.

Anyone can quote you a rate. What decides whether a fabric program lands is whether the shade gets approved quickly, whether it holds across the order, and whether the date given at booking is the date the fabric arrives.

Lab Dips That Come Back

Submissions go out quickly and revisions are turned around rather than queued behind bulk. Every week lost on an approval comes off production time, never off the shipment date, which is why this stage gets more urgency than anything else in the order.

Shade Held To The Last Roll

The lot is kept in one batch wherever quantity allows, and the shade band is checked against the approved lab dip side to side and end to end before release. Batch to batch variation is what an inspector writes up and what a buyer discounts against.

Dia, GSM And Shrinkage To Spec

Dia and GSM are checked in grey and again after finishing, with shrinkage and spirality set rather than left to chance. A dia running short changes your consumption and your costing, and it is your margin that absorbs it.

Services

One supplier from yarn to finished roll

A factory without its own backward linkage usually runs a fabric program across four or five vendors, each one able to blame the last when a date slips. Taking the whole fabric here removes the handovers and puts one company on the hook for the result.

  • Knit Dyeing

Tube, open width and lycra blends, dyed to the approved shade.

  • Raising And Finishing

Fleece raised to the approved pile, then dia, GSM, shrinkage and spirality set.

  • Printing

All over print and pigment work, strike off before bulk.

  • Knitting

Grey fabric to your count, dia and GSM, ready to run straight into dyeing.

  • Lab Dip And Testing

Submissions revised until approved, then fastness, shrinkage and 4-point inspection.

  • Yarn, Dyes And Chemicals

Materials supplied to the compliance standard your buyer works to.

How It Works

From inquiry to delivery, in four stages

You are told where the order stands at each one, by someone who knows, and you get a straight answer on a date rather than a hopeful one.

  1. 01

    Inquiry And Quotation

Construction, dia, GSM, count, quantity and shade in. A rate per kg and a delivery date back.

  2. 02

    Lab Dip And Approval

Submitted to you or your buying house against the buyer standard, and revised until it is signed off.

  3. 03

    Batching And Bulk

Grey checked on the 4-point system, then dyed to the approved recipe and finished to your specification.

  4. 04

    Shade Band And Delivery

Shade band against the approved lab dip, 4-point inspection, then rolls delivered with roll-wise data.

The Market We Serve

Built for export knitwear and the pressure it runs under

Knitwear is the larger and faster growing half of Bangladesh apparel, and it moves on buyer approvals and shipment dates. Nothing in that chain has slack in it. A supplier who is slow on a lab dip, or who lets shade drift between lots, does not just cost a factory fabric. It costs a shipment, and sometimes the buyer behind it.

LUMA is set up for factories that carry that risk without a backward linkage of their own, and for larger factories whose own capacity is full or whose shade has failed and who need the order rescued this week.
